That is an interesting situation. A bit hard to have a late payment fee when you paid up long before the due date. Looks like you'll be getting a few lots of $22 refunded to you.

I have heard some horror stories - like people going on to bundles but being charged for both new and old packages. Hmmm - might get a fine tooth comb for mine.

I just got charged a 'plan downgrade fee' of $45 by Optus, even though I was out of contract to the old plan and choosing to sign up to a new plan, and the call centre person hadn't mentioned a thing...

I heard (it could be scurrulous of course) that if a complaint is lodged with the Ombudsman, they are charged a fee. That would be judicious, don't you think?

Sophie it is not a rumour! Very true indeed. It has been a while so I can't remember the exact fee, but I think the lowest a phone company is charged every time someone rings the ombudsman is...
